When I found him the first time, he was wearing a couple of badges, and since he's a Russ bear, I was pretty sure they weren't meant to be there. I wanted to rescue him and get those horrible badges off. But he was £2 and there was no way I was buying that. So, when I was unable to get him down to £1, I had to leave him there, and it almost broke my heart.
Then a couple of days later, at a boot fair, I found him again. I was amazed. I asked how much he was, and now he was £1. Me being me, I tried to get him down to fifty p, but no go. But he was now within my price range, so I was able to rescue him after all and bring him home. I paid for him and walked on a little further, along a couple more stalls, when I found Franklin, a Russ bear I'd been looking for for a while. He was with his sister, a Russ bear called Amelia, and both bears were wearing matching outfits. They were a pound the pair. So I got them as well.
