Colleen started out as a beautiful piece of bright pink, long, silky Tissavel fur. Her creator was so excited to receive the beautiful fur because it was for a good friends birthday. But, then, she got ill and had to put it away.
The day finally came to cut out Colleen. The cutting began and the fur flew--everywhere! Then the creator had a bad asthma attack and Colleen was put away again.
Finally the sewing began. It was very slow because of all the fur flying. A foot was done, then an arm, etc.
Now the bears name was another problem. Every day she changed her name--seven times to be exact. She finally settled on Colleen. She's a big cuddly, squizzable bear.
When it came time to mail Colleen there was the problem of a big box. After we finally found a big box there was the problem of shipping--big money! The creator's husband finally took Colleen down and mailed her.
When she finally arrived at her new home, her owner was happy and said she was "bally, bally, bally".
Did you know bears don't become real until someone loves them? It's true! Colleen

Colleen is sitting here with me right now, so I'll let her reply to this story.
I'm so happy here with Wolfiebear. I've been able to meet so many wonderful plushies, including Broguie, a wolf shaped as a ball who has captured my heart. Wolfiebear has written a song about me to the tune of the Brahms Lullaby. I have a music box inside me that plays this song, and one day I was playing it for her and she started singing. It went like this.
Ballybear, ballybear You're so fuzzy and furry, And I love to cuddle you, You're my little ballybear. Ballybear, Ballybear Full of cuddles and love. Ballybear, ballybear, Full of cuddles and love.
